waters of the island. There are even those who think that everything is "dollar rate" so only those who can go there are the rich and the famous. Let's just say that there are indeed resorts where the accommodation rate might be a bit steep but there are also those where even the common people would not have any difficulty staying for several days.
Budget-Friendly Boracay Island
There are ways in which those who would like to visit the island can enjoy it and yet spend a minimal amount of money. One suggestion is for them to get hold of the various packages offered by either hotels or resorts. Another one would be to go through an online booking company such as www.TriptoBoracay.com because it can offer packages that are sometimes lower than the published rates of the hotels or resorts. In some cases, breakfast is already part of the package but in case it isn't then they can look for a restaurant where the food is more affordable. There are actually quite a number of these carinderias or turo-turo restaurants that can be found all over the island. For those who prefer to have the more familiar dishes of the popular fastfood chains in the country then they do not have to go far to find it. On the other hand, those who have some to spare can savor the various Filipino or international cuisines in the buffet offerings of some dining establishments.
Various activities can also be enjoyed and these can be dependent on the budget allotted for it. A dip in the glorious waters would, of course, be for free while water sports and activities such as scuba diving, banana boat ride or island hopping might entail a certain amount. One thing for certain though is that it is possible for anybody to have a great time in Boracay Island without spending a lot.
