Thanks to You, Light of Peace Volunteers

(Courtesy of Claire Jasmine Jeongco)
Iloilo has a new record. It would not have happened if not for all of those who worked really hard for it. The organizers, the volunteers, the sponsors and the thousands of people who believe that world peace can be achieved through inner peace made it happen. Personally, I would like to thank those who heeded the call to volunteer. I may not be able to thank all of you personally or may even miss your name/org/institution but it does not mean that your contributions aren't appreciated. Thanks,Ruben Magan Gamala, for inviting us to volunteer or should I say, volunteering Maita G Magalong, DMCG and iSERVE. The people of VOICE are always ready to volunteer. Thanks also to iSERVE (Raymond SalvillaRaji Jimenea AlvaradoDhay Centino etc.), YVG (Charles Gallo
TrayaMelai Escorido and the other YVG who were with us in spirit. (YVG, see u on the 19th). My gratitude also to Sandy Mecuando who never gets tired of my demands...err...requests. Promise I won't bully you too much and I owe you a meal. Thanks to Edwin I. Lariza for giving us the chance to be in Angtanay sa Katin-aran andNereo Cajilig Luján for all the assistance in the Provincial Capitol and for mobilizing the Iloilo Provincial Capitol press corps plus having his daughter's group volunteer for the media. DSWD 6 RD Macapobre has also been quite helpful and we are grateful for it. Sir Fred Villanueva of CSWDO,Lorena, the Day Care workers esp from La Paz and Jaro, the City and LGU links of 4Ps, parent leaders, coordinators and youth of the 4Ps program also deserve kudos. PYAP and SCALA youths also contributed a lot. You guys really rock. The officers and EPs of the Philippine Army (CMOBn, RCDG, CDC, 301st) also deserve a lot of thanks and love. To the JBLCF ROTC group under the Phil. Navy and the Phil. Air Force, thanks too and expect more requests in the future. To Dyronjr Siason for allowing us to have a booth and a place for the tarps in Iloilo NHS, thanks I'll probably see you again for something else...heheheh. Sir Jessi and the group from Calinog, thanks too. Same thing to Maam Gretch and the other pipz from Dingle. I am sorry to hear though that some weren't able to make it due to the heavy rain. Thanks also to Ronilo Tolentino and his partners Cilantro for the sponsorship and Kryz Culinary Arts Kcarsi for the chairs and chair covers. Thanks Kathy Purr for covering the event and promoting it on your blog. My gratitude also toAlvin Earl Sales and the Work the World people. Thanks to my nieces,Clarence Joie Datorin Jeongco and Jhazmhine Jeongco who also volunteered/participated. Mon , Nishel, Biboy and Laarni 拉尔 Mecuando, thanks for staying until nearly midnight just to make sure things were ok. The drivers esp. Nong Itik who were ever ready to transport the volunteers even at midnight. The group from Miraculous Medal Parish youth and the young people from Veterans Village also did a lot. You guys worked hard. My gratitude is also extended to the people from MMI and L' Pi Pisut Norman Palanugool for giving us the opportunity to be a part of a historic Light of Peace In The Phillipines event.
